Newly relocated to the great state of Maine, Marcia lives in the Portland area. She teaches music and performs her original songs both live and online. Marcia has performed across the continent, at festivals, concerts,coffeehouses, churches, and even on seagoing windjammers. She’s released three albums of original music in a variety of genres. Marcia earned her Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar performance. She grew up in multiple countries and considers herself a citizen of the world.
Marcia honed her music teaching craft at colleges, universities, adult music camps, in Nursery through Twelfth-grade classrooms, and in her private studio. She describes herself as a ‘musical midwife’, and encourages artistic expression for everyone.
When she’s not making music, Marcia happily writes poetry and wanders around in the woods. She makes good trouble as an environmental activist with ThirdAct.org and aspires to be an instigator of all things life-affirming. This includes tap dancing, rocking a low-sodium diet, and keeping the cat litter box under control.
