Kristen Ferguson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and music instructor from the Pacific Northwest. Raised by professional musician parents she grew up immersed in musicianship. Classically trained on the piano, she also studied guitar with her Dad (flat picking champion Roger Ferguson), singing with her Mom (vocalist Lynne Ferguson) and went on to complete the Music Theory Program at Olympic College. Kristen first started giving piano lessons as a student teacher at fourteen and is now the owner and operator of Island Lessons which provides music lessons to a full roster of students on Bainbridge Island. Along with piano and guitar she also enjoys playing mandolin, ukulele and bass. She is a lifelong student of music and spends her time learning, teaching, composing, recording and performing music with her friends and family.
