Jere is the identical twin of Greg Canote. Their music is all about having a good time, and their tune choices are steeped in vintage Americana --forgotten fiddle tunes, swing classics, and quirky novelty songs -- but with their own twists. They are truly fabulous musicians, moving effortlessly among fiddle, guitar, banjo, and ukulele, and their genetically matched voices recall brother duets from the Blue Sky Boys to the Everlys. NPR listeners will remember the Canote Brothers as the affable sidekicks on "Sandy Bradley's Potluck" for 13 years. Jere and Greg have lived in Seattle since 1981 and travel regularly, teaching at music and dance camps.
