Camp Instrumentalist
I am a guitar and fiddle player and have been playing since the early 1980's. I grew up in Salem, Oregon and learned some great fiddle tunes from several Salem area residents. Every year I would travel to Weiser, Idaho to the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest and compete and jam during the week. I have done well in the National Adult Division and continue to compete in Summer fiddle contests throughout the West. I have played in several bands in the Portland area and currently play with the Lost Creek Bluegrass Band as well as several smaller duos and trios in Portland. I have teacher credentials in Oregon and have a college degree in music. In addition to my interest in contest fiddling I love swing tunes and Americana folk and I have taught at several summer music camps in Oregon.
